In autumn 2014, a catastrophic failure of an un-braced purlin was the catalyst of extensive repairs to the Great Hall roof. An extensive birdcage scaffold allowed function in the Great Hall to continue whilst repairs were underway. Completed in 1529, the Grade 1-listed Great Hall at Christ Church is a building of considerable historical significance. See all our work by visiting our website.
