Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT) is inviting the public to an Open Day and Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Stoke Mandeville Hospital on Saturday 14 September 2024.
At the Trust’s AGM, which starts at 9.15am, you can find out about BHT’s performance over the last year and plans for the future of healthcare in Buckinghamshire.
The AGM will be followed by an Open Day, which runs from 10am-2pm. The Trust will be running unique behind the scenes tours of departments such as ophthalmology, operating theatres, the mortuary and more. These can be booked in advance via Ticket Tailor or on the day, subject to availability.
People will also be able to meet clinical teams from the Trust, health and care partners and voluntary sector organisations as well as take part in interactive activities such as a Makaton taster session, build-a-brain competition, or by taking a lung function test. Young people are also invited to find out more about career opportunities in healthcare at the careers fair and talks for secondary students, which will be attended by local universities and colleges.
Please come along and bring your family and friends to enjoy a fun and informative day out. Free parking will be available on site, with food and drink on offer to purchase, as well as entertainment from local community groups.
