The Role
Responsible for supervision of ateam within a Packing department to ensure its efficient and safe daily operation. Managing all stock movements on a rotationalbasis, ensuring all products are despatched on time. Packing product in accordance to company procedures and regulations, whilemaintaining good Health & Safety Practices.
You will work Monday - Friday 07:00AM - 05:00PM (45 hours per week)
Dutieswill include
* Driving packing productivity in packing area
* Ensuring correct traceability is on all finished goods pallets and paperwork is completed
* Identifying and moving required stock to packing area ready for use
* Ensuring correct stock rotation and communicating with department Supervisor as necessary
* Ensuring all orders are despatched on time and to thecorrect specification
* To ensure finished goods are accurately accounted for, and reported daily
* To effectively manage the allocation of labour resource
* Communicate effectively with Co-Workers, Supervisor and other departments
* Cooperate andfunction well as part of a packing team
* Ensure attention to detail and attention to safety at all times
* Checking for damaged or missing goods
* Storing materials and goods correctly and safety at all times
* Keeping packing area and work area clean and tidy
* Work effectively and efficiently at all times
* Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process in good time
* Check product being packed is to ensure highest quality
* Complete packing paperwork and documentation correctly, clearly and accurately
* Pack, label and stack product according to product specifications and instruction
* Ensurethat all completed pallets are labelled correctly and safety for shipping
* Ensure that the correct packaging and labelling isused
* Ensure that all stock (WIP, Finished Product or Packaging) is stored correctly in a tidy and safe manner with clear labelling at all times.
* Remove any defective products or materials, ensure they are clearly labelled and reported to the department supervisor
* Assisting with stock taking
* Adhere to the Company's policies on Safety, Hygiene and good housekeepingRequirements
The successful applicant will have the following experience, skills and attributes:
* Solid experience in leading a team within a packaging or production area
* Experience with food products an advantage
* Proven motivationalskills
* Good level of computer literacy
* Well organised with good attention to detail
* Excellent communication and team building skills
