Description:
Our client is seeking to hire a skilled Expenses Manager to join their team on a permanent basis in Cavan.
This role will lead a team of 3 - 4 Expense Controllers whose job it is to manage and control the expenses of each Function, ensuring timely and accurate book close and reporting each month, as well as analysis and commentary on variances to plan.
Key responsibilities
managing and developing the team,
delivering the expense month end process and monthly forecasting,
liaising with the functional owners and other stakeholders,
identifying and delivering process improvements in the area.
The successful candidate will have experience and a strong skill set in the areas of controls, reconciliations and accounting processes.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Develop team members and the teamas a whole to drive excellent performance consistent with the companies values.
Planning and delivering the month end expenseclose.
Perform variance analysis of actual versus plan to be included in presentations to stakeholders at various levels ofthe organisation.
Ensure robust P&L and Balance Sheet expense controls are in place and operating effectively.
Work closely with the business to develop regular forecasts and annual budget.
Consider how to maximise benefits from new technology and automation.
Provide analytical support for Senior Management as required.
Qualifications
Qualified Accountant or similar professional qualification.
5+ years' experience in a similar role.
Experience of leading and developing a team.
Experience of control environment design/audit/improvement.
Track record of process improvement and change management.
Advanced MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
Financial database systems knowledge such as Hyperion Financial Management, BI tools, SAP.
