Description:
Having recently been acquired by a Global Group - our client is currently seeking to hire a Finance Manager to join the team in Offaly on a permanent basis.
You will have management of two staff and a day to day reporting line into the UK.
This is an onsite role for the bedding-in period of 6 to12 months.
Main Duties within the role
* Manage all the accounting operations (i.e., Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable,Project Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Payroll, Contract Valuations, Irish Revenue Returns and General Ledger)
* Prepare Annual Budgets and Rolling Forecasts
* Prepare and manage Cash Flows and Working Capital
* Implement Financial Controls, Policies and Procedures
* Implement new Financial Information Systems and technology as required
* Participate as part of the Management Team
* Perform the plants' monthly/annual closing process in conjunction with the HQ team and in adherence to the Parent company accounting principles
* Prepare timely and accurate monthly/quarterly management and financial reporting, adhering togroup deadlines
* Provide in-depth analysis on variances and participate in action plan to remediate
* Participate in cross-functional teams to achieve continuous improvement of processes and procedures
* Update the Cost Performance Tracker monthly. Inconjunction with the FBPO and CI, ensure the collection of the initiatives, calculate the financial impacts, and ensure propercost tracking
* Perform the calculation of the standard costing (PCO) in SAP/BPC
* Mark and release standard costs within 24 hours of request
* Weekly monitoring of maintenance costs for all plants
* Prepare and distribute weekly margin reports
* Participate in the quarterly preparation/update of the action plan tracker and rolling forecast
* Complete central statistics, government, and revenue returns
Skills Required
* A fully qualified accountant
* Minimum of 5 years manufacturing and/or contracting experience post qualification is essential
* Can meet deadlines and work under pressure
* SAGE Line 200 and or SAP knowledge desirable
* Have advanced Excel experience (lookup, pivot tables)
* Fluent in English (written and oral)
* Experience working in a multi-company environment would be an advantage
