Description:
My client, a well known international car rental company, is currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. You will be part of the Financial Reporting team delivering the month endmanagement accounts for one of the companies within the Irish Group and reporting into the Financial Controller.
Some of your Key Responsibilities will include:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and other financial reports, including processing of month end journals
* Preparation and review of monthly financial reports for various stakeholders in the business on a monthly basis along with filing results monthly to parent company
* Preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Preparation of commission reporting for staff commission payments
* Assisting with annual financial statement preparation and audit
* Assisting with forecast and budget preparation
* Assisting in the preparation and submission of tax and statutory compliance
In order to be successful, you will have:
* Knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel, Wordand PowerPoint - Advanced Excel is a pre-requisite.
* Good accounts system exposure is required. Knowledge of Sage 200 wouldbe an advantage.
* Knowledge of Qlikview or other Business Intelligence tools would also be an advantage.
* Team player with good communication skills, you will be highly motivated and comfortable working in a demanding fast-paced environment with a natural ability to adapt to change.
* Experience in presenting key accounts to senior managers
* You will have worked in a similar position within a finance department for at least 2 years
* You will be either a fully qualified or part qualified ACA/CIMA/CPA/ACCA studying towards professional qualification.
* Experience in the Motor trade would be desirable. Knowledge of CarHire or similar consumer rental businesses would be a distinct advantage.
