Description:
Our client is seeking to hire a skilled hands-on Financial Controller tojoin their team within an SME company.
This is an onsite position based in Westmeath.
Responsibilities
* Managementof the financial team and the finance function of the business - you will
oversee and manage the accounts department ensure thesmooth daily operation of
same.
* Management of all finance and accounting operations including Invoicing, A/R, A/P,
GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Payroll and Revenue Recognition.
* Responsibility for preparation of cash flow statements,budgets and financial
forecasts
* Preparation and publishing of timely monthly management accounts and financial
statements* Supporting and overseeing month-end and year-end close process
* Overseeing the management of cash flow and debt/debt collection
* Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
* Development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to
maintain and strengthen internal controls and ensure best practice
* Product and project costing.
* Preparation of statutory returns - Intrastat/VAT/CSO etc.
* Assessing trends in all key financial indicators andachieve cost savings.
* Supporting Management in providing analytical support and advice on commercial
opportunities and management decision making affecting the business and its
finances.
* Working closely with all key functions and Managers to ensureaccuracy of accounts.
* Other ad hoc reporting/duties as required.
Qualifications/ Skillset
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or qualified by experience Accountant with
extensive commercial experience
* Extensive Finance Team Management
* Substantial experience of producing budgets and forecasts
* Substantial experience in supporting operations to improve performance* Extensive understanding of Finance and IT systems including required controls
* Substantial treasury and cash flow management experience
* Extensive experience of working within and managing a team with a diverse set of
skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent MS office literacy in particular MS Excel
