Description:
My client, one of the Big 4, is looking for Managerfor the Climate Change and Sustainability Services to join their team in Dublin.
The team focus areas are climate change, sustainability assurance and advisory, navigating the regulatory landscape, and creating long term value.
This role will place you at the heart of a high-energy, agile team that is committed to helping clients build long-term sustainable businesses. This opportunity will enable you to work with leading financial institutions to deliver better outcomes on some of the world's most pressing climate and sustainability issues.
Key responsibilities
* You will lead medium complex projects to deliver key projects for our clients on the wide range of topics we work on, listed above
* You will support on business acquisition
* Youwill represent my client at external events and maintaining client and stakeholder relationships.
* You will help create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs
* You will oversee operational efficiency on projects and lead on internal initiatives, consistently driving projects to completion making surethat the work delivered is industry leading.
* You will lead teams on engagements, keeping a clear focus on anticipating and identifying risks and opportunities
* Working closely with colleagues at all levels (from interns to senior partners), you willcreate a positive learning culture and coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.
* You will contributeto the development of my client's capabilities in technical areas and engage with clients regarding the application of these methodologies to their businesses.
* You will collaborate with colleagues outside of Sustainable Finance to deliver multi-disciplinary and cross-geographical work.
Skills and Qualifications required:
* Track record of success from 5+ years of relevant experience in sustainability / ESG at a financial services firm, sustainability consultancy, investment firm or other relevant organisation
* Demonstrated expertise in one or several of the following areas: Auditing, Data & Analytics or Regulatory assurance, Sustainability Strategy, Climate change risk, Carbon measurement and management, ESG advisory, Responsible investment
* Demonstrable experience in leading teams
* Strong academic record including a relevant degree
* Experience runningor contributing to a range of projects
* Particularly interested in candidates who have a financial or non-financial audit career background
* Commercial mindset
* Strong communication skills, verbal, written but also active listening
* An understanding of key sustainability issues and trends and how they link to business value.
* Experience working on complex projects that require knowledge of business strategy, sustainability strategy and operations.
