Description:

*** In partnership with the HSE ***
I am currently recruiting Medical Secretaries with Dictaphone Typing skills.
Location: Tullamore, Co. Offaly

THE ROLE:

* The post holder will support the administrative function of the day-to-day operation within HSE via the transcription of clinical letters and the provision of pre- and post-clinic support.
* Liaise with Consultants and their Multidisciplinary Teams on an ongoing basis.
* Ensure correspondence with GP's/other Hospital's is dealt within the appropriate time frames.
* Providing excellent customer service to patient and other service users
* Managing queries via phone, email and in-person from patients, parents, clinicians, centre staff and other stakeholders
* Arrange meetings and take minutes as required
*Maintain efficient general office procedures as appropriate to the post.
* Type, pull and file all general correspondence, charts, photographs, reports and documentation in relation to the work of the department.
* Liaise with staff in other departments, the public and outside agencies in a confidential, courteous and professional manner.
* Enter and maintain Patient details on the relevant patient administration systems.
* Collection and delivery of internal and external mail to/from the hospitalmail room as required.
* Participate in training, as required
* Ordering of supplies for the Department as required.
*To perform such other duties appropriate to the post as may be assigned by the hiring manager

REQUIREMENTS:

* Previous experience as a medical secretary desiarable
* Medical Secretary or Dictaphone Typing Certificate
* Previous secretarial/administrative experience in a busy administrative role
* Experience with audio dictation (typing speed required 45WPM)
* Excellent IT skills, with experience in working with ICT packages
* Ability to communicate fluently both written and orally
* Immediately available
* Experience with PAS/ IPIMS patient information systems
* Excellent customer service skills
* Demonstrates the ability to work independently as well as work with a wider multidisciplinary / multi-agency team in a complex and changing environment.

This is a full time temporary position with a immediate start
