Concept Resourcing are looking for a Senior Strategic Economic Analyst to join a Central Governmentclient based in London/Bristol OR Manchester.
This is an initial 6 month contract with a possible extension. The role is INSIDE IR35. Day rates between £400-500 per day, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate must have the following experience;
* Experience of working in the UK Central Government would be desirable.
* Responsible for providing ad-hoc analytic support to the wider business, be it economic analysis and modelling assessing the viability of new projects or evaluating the benefits realisation for existing programmes.
* You will work closely with colleagues in the business operations side of the Strategic Planning and Performance team to support and inform your analysis with strong data, and in addition you will offer insightinto how the information management and reporting systems could be improved.
* Lead on performing corporate analysis for departmental processes such as performance management and business planning
* Offer reasonable and professional scrutiny to the plans and intended delivery of teams during business planning, and provide assurance on the deliver-ability upwards based on yourconclusions
* Assess the delivery, financial and economical ambitions of the business and business cases during fiscal events,such as the Spending Review, and offer strategic advice upwards on whether they are achievable and based on sound methodologies* Establish a strong benefits realisation function within the department to evidence the delivery of tangible savings and benefits for government and the general public
* Work closely with the Delivery, Portfolio & Assurance team to understand theperformance and risk in-year and ensure alignment of delivery with the long-term missions and strategy
* Experience in performing high quality analysis swiftly in a fast moving, high profile environment
* Experience writing and producing analytical papers/reports for a senior audience
* Experience in presenting their work and findings to a group of stakeholders, using a range of technologies and methods to do so
* Have some level of qualification or experience in economic analysis
