Group HR Director, (EMEA & APAC) 12 Month FTC, ASAP Start, Birmingham Area, 80% Remote with limited travel, Lovely Technology Company

Overview of the Group HR Director:

This role requires a highly skilledsenior HR Leader, with a high growth mindset, and strong regional knowledge and experience, to lead and develop the Group HR team. Partnering with the senior business leaders and the global HR Group (CoEs and other Group HR Directors), the Group HR Director (HRD), EMEA & APAC defines the needs, develops, and implements the regional strategy, and co-creates talent solutions.The HR Director will be the voice of the collective and individual businesses within your remit when providing input into the development of global HR strategies. Acting as a trusted consultant and partner to the EMEA & APAC client group, across all aspects of talent planning and management, you will also provide oversight, direction, and development for the Group HR team and ensure compliance with all legislative and Company requirements and practices.

This role requires someone who can be both strategic and operational, able to roll-up-their-sleeves and deliver. The incumbent will have strong organisational and project management skills, be forward-thinking and proactive in making recommendations and investing ahead of the business growth curve to ensure the business leaders and people are always enabled to be successful and supported in the best ways.

HR Director Duties:* Define the Group and Regional HR strategy, ensuring it is aligned with the overall global strategy.

* Translate strategic plans into HR initiatives that achieve the end goal. Plan, develop, organise, direct, and evaluate the HR Team's function andperformance across EMEA and APAC and in partnership with global HR Leaders.

* Partner with your aligned business area on a wide range of talent management and organisational business challenges. Provide strategic and operational advice and recommendations to both business leaders and the HR Team alike (such as organisational design, workforce planning, leadership development, performance optimisation, talent assessment, succession planning, employee relations, change management, leadership coaching, retention, etc.).

* Drive a high-performance culture within the business, whist also providing thoughtful and effective coachingto business leaders on all aspects of leadership to help grow, develop, and maximise their capabilities.

* With a mix of some HR team members having a dotted reporting line into this role and others being direct, provide leadership, support, coaching,and mentoring to all the HR team under your Group.

* Be strategically minded and growth focused, anticipating business needsin advance of the growth, investing ahead of the curve (need) to develop the HR team and bring in additional experienced outsidetalent where needed. This includes identifying high potential talent within the Group for future roles, having robust EDPs andsuccession plans in place; and providing opportunities for them to get exposure to and training in relevant areas, enabling themto be developed and therefore considered as a candidate for future roles.

* Continually develop a strong business acumen, regularly keeping updated and aligned on, and understanding, our business strategy, goals, priorities, talent strengths and risks.Ensure you are keeping informed/aware of industry trends and market practices. Build strong relationships with your key business leaders/stakeholders, as well as business areas (such as finance, legal, IT).

* Responsible for all HR compliance matters and legislative requirements across all businesses under Group and all businesses within your regions (EMEA& APAC). Ensure you are staying current/updated on all employment law and compliance for the region, and ensure effective plans are in operation to mitigate risk to the business. (Work in partnership with other CoEs and business areas where needed, and immediately flag up to Legal if any concerns or red flags are identified and address/bring to resolution immediately.)

* Responsible for all annual talent/people processes and employee lifecycle events relating to leaders within your region, ensuring they are aware of all processes, communications, and actions they need to take in relation to their direct reports and their own personal employee actions.

* Be proactive in making recommendations and appropriately escalating concerns to the Chief HR Officer.

* Proactivelyworking on removing silos and creating a sense of inclusion across the businesses.

* Develop a holistic vision and plan on D, E & I strategies and practices that support the Company ethos and mission, including enhancing the D, E & I organisational capabilities and trainings.

* In all areas, ensure that the business consistently remain competitive, and regularly review business practices and processes with a view of continuous improvement.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* Able to thinkstrategically and tactically execute on key initiatives/deliverables.

* Experience working in a high-growth business and demonstrated ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and change in a fast-paced environment.

* Sound business acumen and ableto understand commercial drivers.

* Strong sense of ownership and drive, with a proven track record of success within a regional director role.

* Expert/extensive, sound knowledge of employment law across the region.

* Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; highly collaborative and strong at building relationships with stakeholders and across theHR Group. Able to influence and challenge where needed.

* Proven track record of problem-solving and project management, particularly across various areas within HR, managing multiple areas of delivery in a timely, efficient, and effective way.

* Previous experience working in Software/SaaS/technology and/or Professional Services industry, particularly in a high-growth business, is highly desirable.

* Ability and willingness to travel as and when needed
