HR Advisor, Corby(Northamptonshire), Up to £35,000 + Benefits, Manufacturing Company
Reporting to the HR Business Partner (Head of HR), the HR Advisor will be responsible for providing professional Generalist HR advice to Colleagues and Managers ensuring the highest level of HR service to the business. This is a fully on-site position (Monday to Friday).
HR Advisor Duties:
* Acting as first point of contact for Managers and Colleagues in respect of all people related enquiries, including Employee Relations, flexible working, performance and absence management
* Supporting with Employee Relations cases, providing guidance to managers and attending associated meetings
* Reviewing, developing and updating HR policies and procedures and template tools
* Collating KPIs / reports and supporting driving improvements
* Provide Employees with accurate Terms and Conditions and ensuring updates are communicated
* Ensuring an effective new starter process including contracts, Right to Work Checks etc
* Keeping upto date with changes in employment legislation / best practice to best advise managers and implement this in the workplace
* Supporting with provision of Occupational Health services and wellbeing initiatives
* Supporting with employee engagement activities
* Supporting with recruitment activities
* Providing support and guidance to the HR Administrator
* Providing general HR support to the line managers
* General HR administration including updating company systems
* Ensuring the provision ofaccurate information to Payroll
What's in your DNA? (Experience Needed):
* Generalist HR experience gained within a manufacturing or similar fast paced environment
* You will ideally be qualified to level 5 of the CIPD or above/equivalent
* Experience of working with and advising Managers
* Proven planning and organisational skills
* Sound general Employment Law knowledge
* A pro-active approach to problem solving / implementing improvements with the ability to spot and deal with issuesand opportunities as they occur
* Excellent attention to detail with a right first-time attitude
* Able to demonstrate empathy
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade, influence and when appropriate, challenge with tact and diplomacy
* Conscientious and self-motivated
* Team orientated
