FRS Recruitment is now inviting applications for the role of 'Mechanical Fitter' on behalf of a leading Irish Agribusiness. Indeed, this is a full time perm role and may suit candidates within a commutable distance of South Kildare. Transport from HQ to sites and back will be provided.
The Role
The Mechanical Fitter role is to construct and assemble mechanical milking systemson customer sites throughout Ireland. It will require fitting structural frameworks for the milking systems to include piping systems using hand tools and welding equipment.
Job Description
* Be flexible and willing to work at customer sites throughout the country.
* On occasion travel outside the country will also be required both in Europe and the Rest of World.
* Beflexible in working hours.
* Have the ability to work and liaise with all staff and supervisors.
* Be flexible and willingto work varied roles in different departments while on site, if required.
* Troubleshooting systems using knowledge of how system was designed to perform.
* Welding components on site.
* Collaborating with other fitters on larger projects.
* Work to high workmanship standards and maintain all quality checks.
The Candidate
* Background or interest in engineering,agriculture and/or in the dairy industry an advantage.
* Have good practical skills and be highly detail orientated.
* Relevant work experience will be a distinct advantage.
* Be confident and work from own initiative as well as being a team player.* Be well organised and able to work well under pressure.
* Have very good communication skills (written & oral).
* Where appropriate initiate sales enquiries and forward to sales team.
