The Company
This well established organisation produce fenestration and curtain walling products for use in the construction industry. They are growing and in need of a new member to the design team.The Role
Reporting to the design director you will be part of the team designing windows, doors and curtain walling fora wide variety of clients. Initially you will work in the Swansea office but hybrid working is on offer once established in therole.
Hours of work 07:30AM to 04:30PM Monday to Thursday and 07:30AM to 01:30PM Friday.
Duties will include:
*Produce high end technical drawings and AutoCAD design proposals
* Handling technical queries and cost-effective design proposals via phone and email
* Extensive liaison with clients, the sales team and installers
* Attend internal and external meetings to discuss client requirements
* Working on AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM
* Reading, understanding and explaining technical drawings
* Working to building construction, methods & regulations
Requirements
The successful applicant will havethe following experience, knowledge and attributes:
* Solid experience in Façade design
* Be able to confidently read andunderstand Technical drawings
* Previous work experience of using AutoCAD essential and REVIT an advantage
* Knowledge of curtain walling, window, door & Structural Glazing design essential
* Good understanding of building construction, methods& regulations essential
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Work well independently and within the team environment
* Role could also suit an Architectural Technologist with a solid understanding of Curtain Walling, Windows and DoorsIn Return
