Description:
We are currently seeking a talented Battery Test Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge battery technology within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Battery Test Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Utilizing Vector & CanAnalyzer for communication with battery pack & associated assemblies.
* Creating dashboards for the Operations team to interpret battery communication data easily.
* Developing in-line and end-of-line battery verification processes & procedures.
* Creating andverifying test scripts for module/battery pack cycling using NHR's & AV900/lynx.
* Developing leak test processes/procedures for in-line & end-of-line quality checks using Sciemetric/Furnace controls/Infacon.
* Performing software flashing of battery BMS and associated assemblies.
* Identifying battery fault codes/failure modes through experimental work during the prototype phase.
* Supporting battery teardown diagnosis post prototype testing.
* Collaborating cross-functionally to define pass/fail criteria for in-line & end-of-line testing.
* Working with the production/manufacturing site team to hand over test procedures/specs from the prototype location including best practice & lessons learned.
* Developing Operations technician team in core test competencies and use of test equipment.
* Defining hardware requirements for battery programs (includingharnesses and test equipment).
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
* Proven experience in battery testing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency inVector & CanAnalyzer for battery communication.
* Experience with creating dashboards and test scripts.
* Familiarity with leak test processes and software flashing.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* Ability to occasionally travel to off-site test sites during work hours.
Working Hours:
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Some flexibility required to support production team)
