Our company, based in Milton Keynes, is currently seeking a diligent and experienced Electrical Product Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role entails contributing to the development of innovative battery packs for commercial vehicles. Role Overview:
As the Electrical Product Engineer, you will be responsiblefor leading the design and release of electrical commodities and components across various battery programs. This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of on-site presence for an average of 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the design and release of electrical commodities and components.
* Implement iDFMEA, Commodity Design Validation Plan, and EngineeringSpecifications effectively.
* Develop and execute robust timing plans to achieve program milestones.
* Lead issue resolutionand ensure all changes are implemented effectively.
* Collaborate with suppliers through design phases and procurement processes.
* Analyze and support technical requirements to meet customer needs.
* Contribute effectively to team goals and exhibitinfluence within the work group.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline with aminimum of 5 years of experience.
* Proficiency in complex Electrical Distribution and Electrical Automotive Systems (Batteryadvantage).
* Experience with 2D/3D CAD tools
* Design through to production program management experience.
* Expertise inspecifying and designing automotive/battery pack low voltage, high voltage, and control hardware.
* Familiarity with BEV andPHEV battery system solutions and technologies.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
* Working knowledge of Problem Resolution Techniques.
* Excellent communication, self-motivation, and prioritization skills.
