Job Overview:As a Production Supervisor you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising our manufacturing processes. We are looking for an individual with strong technical acumen, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring a "right first time" production approach. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read engineering drawings, possess excellent leadership skills, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our production operations.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of production personnel to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and production schedules.
* Utilise your technical proficiency to understand and interpret engineering drawings, ensuring accurate execution of manufacturing processes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the production floor.
* Implement and champion a "right first time" production philosophy to minimise defects and rework.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
* Work closely with the qualitycontrol team to maintain and enhance product quality standards.
* Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement andimplement corrective actions.
* Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to ensure the team's continuous development.
The successful Production Supervisor Candidate:
* Proven experience in automotive manufacturing in a supervisory or management role.
* Strong technical background with the ability to readand interpret engineering drawings.
* Be quality driven and possess good problem solving skills.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Excellent leadership, delegation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to Work and Make Decisions Under Pressure
* Computer Literate
