Join our cutting-edge automotive team as a Senior Quality Engineer and steer the course towards unparalleled quality standards! We're searching for a key player in our organisation, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business to achieve the highest standards of quality, ensuring compliance with the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) standards. Your primary responsibilities will include the effective management of internal processes to meet International Automotive Task Force (IATF) requirements, as well as daily oversight of customer and supplier concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of the customer APQP and PPAP documents
* Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement, and Measurement System Analysis* Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements
* Update as required FMEA's, Control Plans and internal documentation
* Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA's
* Statistical analysis of measurements results from capability studies and producesreports.
* Interpreting dimensional results and component GD&T
* Creating DMR reports and forwarding to suppliers, ensuring the supplier has conducted a through root cause with closure actions verified.
* Lead in-house containment activities reporting findings to the customer.
* Complete internal audits in accordance with audit schedule, liaise with department owners and support audit actions until closure.
* Utilise effective problem-solving techniques, such as 8D, to address and resolve quality issues.
* Creation of Documentation required for AS9100 Rev D (utilising current IATF16949 compliant BMS)
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience in a senior quality engineering role within the automotive industry.
* In-depthknowledge of IATF standards and AIAG core tools.
* Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
