First City Nursing is care provider based in Swindon. Our main focusis to provide care and support to all service users. To enable them to maintain their independence and quality of life in theirown homes, or to provide care to individuals in residential or nursing homes, day-care centres, hospital placements and within our Extra Care Schemes. Our services are service user lead and we support service users to achieve their personal outcomes, by using a person centred approach.
You will be joining a team of friendly and kind-hearted professionals who are proud of the work they do, We provide training and ongoing support to ensure you understand our carers and our customers.
You will be workingalongside our Co-ordinators to support one of the most important positions in First City as their actions directly affect the happiness and wellbeing of both our customers and our staff.
This role is to make sure our customers receive excellent serviceand support to help them remain safe and comfortable in their own homes. You are often an escalation point for complicated or ongoing concerns.
Key responsibilities of a Customer service Apprentice:
* Communicating regularly with care workers and resolving queries in a timely manner
* Maintaining telephone contact with customers and staff members
* Ensure telephone calls are answered in a timely, polite and professional manner
* Ensure all paperwork is completed and entered onto relevant systems
* Be the 1st line of support for carers, clients and external professionals with all enquiries
* Ensure compliance is metwithin the office
* Assist and support the manager
* Maintain integrity when dealing with confidential matters
* Adhere to company policies
* Approach clients with understanding and empathy, remembering that each client is to be treated as an individual
* Act as a referral point for dealing with more complex or technical requests, complaints, and queries
* Work as partof a team that revolves around person-centred care and support
The successful candidate will:
* Be computer literate andhave excellent customer service skills
* Have an empathetic and a caring nature
* Be organised and can work calmly under pressure
* Be a people person with good communication skills
* Be a team player
* Support with other tasks required to meetthe needs of the business.
* Undertake a range of administration tasks suited to the current level of training and development* Complete course work on time and to a high standard
* Produce, maintain and be responsible for content, accuracy and signoff of assessments completed
The following would be beneficial:
* Health and social care qualification (GCSE or equivalent)
* Have an understanding and/or interest of the health and social care sector
Duration:
The apprenticeship will takebetween 12 - 18 months to complete
Entry Requirements:
Be 16 years of age or older
Must have 5 GCSEs including Maths,English at grade 9 - 4 (A*- C) or be willing to undertake Functional Skills Level 1 and enrol on Level 2 before they can proceed to end-point assessment.
This Apprenticeship is a knowledge based qualification with blended learning
Office hours are 08.30am -17.00pm. Some flexibility in hours may be required to suit the needs of the business.
Rate of pay: £5.28 p/h for the1st year - Rate will be assessed after a year.
This position may be closed sooner if a suitable candidate is appointed
ALLEMPLOYMENT WITH FIRST CITY NURSING AND CARE IS SUBJECT TO SATISFACTORY REFERENCES, ENHANCED DBS CHECK AND FULL COMPLETION OF MANDATORY TRAINING
