About the Role:

As an ECT Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs by delivering high-quality, engaging, and adaptive teaching within small class settings. You will be responsible for creating tailored learning experiences that embrace personalised learning, scaffolding strategies, and multimodal teaching approaches to address individual needs and inspire a love for learning. Working alongside dedicated Learning Mentors, you will provide targeted interventions and differentiated instruction to ensure all students can access the curriculum effectively.

This role is idealfor an ECT Teacher who is passionate, adaptable, and has an understanding of neurodiversity, inclusive pedagogy, and SEND best practices. You must be proactive, resourceful, and eager to create an inspiring learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver engaging,evidence-informed lessons that cater to students' interests, vocational studies, and functional skills in English and Maths.
*Support students in re-engaging with their education in a meaningful and structured way, focusing on growth mindset and self-regulation.
* Model and promote high expectations and positive behaviour strategies to create a safe, respectful, and inclusivelearning environment.
* Establish effective communication and build strong, trust-based relationships with students to inspireand motivate them.
* Implement adaptive teaching methods to meet individual learning needs and ensure all students can accessthe curriculum.
* Collaborate with Learning Mentors and other staff members to provide personalised interventions and pastoral support.
* Prepare students for life beyond school, equipping them with essential employability, independence, and life skills.

Key Requirements:

* A PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
* A strongunderstanding of Autism, neurodiversity, and SEND education.
* Knowledge of vocational education pathways, functional skills,and differentiated instruction.
* Excellent communication, emotional intelligence, and behaviour management skills.
* Resilience, patience, and adaptability to work in a dynamic SEND setting.
* A willingness to learn new inclusive teaching strategies, de-escalation techniques, and trauma-informed practices.
* A collaborative approach to working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* A driving licence and access to transport are desirable but not essential.
