Simply Educationis currently working with an SEMH school in Scunthorpe to recruit a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting students in a dynamic and nurturing environment. This will be a full time position and starting as soon as possible.
As a teaching assistant in an SEMH provision, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs. Yourmain responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with classroom activities and educational programs.
* Providing one-on-onesupport to students to help them achieve their learning goals.
* Managing and supporting challenging behaviour in a calm andeffective manner.
* Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a positive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience working in SEMH, SEN, or a similar educational setting.
* A high level of resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Excellent communication and interpersonalskills.
* A genuine passion for supporting and inspiring young people.
Requirements:
* Relevant experience in an educational or care setting.
* Strong understanding of SEMH and related behavioural strategies.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
