The Role:
As a Year 1 teacher, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and stimulating classroom environment. You will work closely with your colleagues to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of the Early Years and Key Stage 1 curriculum, and a passion for working with young children.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners in Year 1
* Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment* Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching practices
* Support the pastoral development of students, promoting positive behaviour and well-being* Engage with parents and carers to ensure strong home-school partnerships
The Ideal Candidate:
* A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Experience of teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1
* A passion for working with young children and helping them to achieve their best
* Strong classroom management skills
* The ability to inspire and motivate students
* A creative and adaptable approach to teaching
* Sound understanding of the current Code of Practice for SEND and principles of inclusion
* Enthusiastic with a commitment to the school's Christian vision and values
