Area Site Technician - £35,240.57 - Central & East Scotland
JobDescription:
We are seeking a key player to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations. As the first line of defense for all maintenance issues, you may be required to request specialist support following an initial call-out.
Your responsibilities include conducting technical repairs and preventive maintenance, ensuring all technical and compliancedocumentation is up to date, and completing all work to high standards while adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Complete planned preventive maintenance (PPM) within agreed timelines and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
* Respond promptly to service requests and assess job requirements to carry out repairs as needed.
* Prioritize maintenance and repair work to meet agreed timelines and response times.
* Conduct fire alarm system maintenance, emergencylighting tests and repairs.
* Follow the purchase order process.
* Identify non-repairable faults in equipment and advise the Line Manager with replacement recommendations.
* Maintain updated compliance documentation.
* Inform the on-site customer(manager) of any maintenance issues affecting site operations.
* Conduct surveys and complete reports as required by management.
* Carry out minor alterations and installations within technical competence.
* Complete general repairs and maintenanceat customer sites as designated by management.
* Attend necessary training courses and maintain job skills.
* Adhere to thecompany Health and Safety Policy at all times.
* Represent the company professionally and build positive relationships with City and customer employees.
* Participate in a 24/7 call-out rota.
* Work with company and customer employees to maintain quality standards.
* Comply with any other reasonable requests or instructions from management.
Requirements:
* GCSE/Standard Grade education or higher, ideally NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1+2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
* City and Guilds 2382 17th Edition or 18th edition certification.
* Knowledge of 3-phase electricity and its applications.
* Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment.
* Good repair and maintenance quality, work efficiency and speed.
* Ability to respond to service requests within agreed response times.
* Ability to complete PPM within agreed timelines.
* Understanding of Health and Safety policy.
* Strong client and City colleague relationships and feedback.
