Role Overview:
Reporting To the Electrical Systems Manager you will; Design, develop, and commission control systems including variable speed motors, PLC-based test systems, and P&ID diagrams. Collaborate on engineering projects with customers and internal teams. Test, diagnose, and rectify faults. Ensure compliance with legislative requirements. Create high-quality specifications and documentation. Assist with system commissioning in the UK and internationally.
Requirements:
* NVQ 5minimum/degree in relevant engineering discipline.
* 2+ years of Electrical CAD experience (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Solidworks Electrical preferred).
* Practical experience in control system design and development.
* Knowledge of machine systemsdesign, safety systems, and industrial standards.
* Proficiency in industrial communication protocols, wiring, sensors, and cable selection.
* Familiarity with P&ID diagrams, power sources, and electrical compliance.
* PLC programming skills (Siemens Step 7/TIA Portal/Controllogix/Beckhoff PLC/Codesys desirable).
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Willingnessto travel internationally.
