Critical Facilities Engineer - Stretford - £32,000 - £50,000

Join Our Team as a Facilities Engineer!
Are you a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in Manchester? We are currently seeking a Facilities Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. As a Facilities Engineer, you will play a vital role in managing, maintaining, and operating all electrical and mechanical systems on-site. If you have a strong background in maintenance and electrical experience, particularly in the IT sector, we want to hear from you!

Hours of Work:
Working hours between 07:00 - 19:00 Monday - Friday.Week 1: 07:00 -15:00 / Week 2: 09:00 - 17:00 / Week 3: 11:00 - 19:00

Oncall:
1 Week in 3 On-call Paid at £250

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide exceptional client support.
* Proactively communicate with clients to resolve issues.
* Keep records and databases up to date.
* Ensure buildings are clean, safe, and secure.
* Adhere to processes and procedures, including incident management.
* Maintain a duty of care for everyone on site.
* Assist with rack installations and cabling for optimal cooling.
* Log faults and issues, and respond to tickets and requests promptly.
* Perform system monitoring, environment checks, and remote activities.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks.
* Manage stock and critical spares forthe Data Centre.
* Support day-to-day activities and uphold site security and integrity.
* Enforce access control processesfor all parties.
* Participate in testing and understanding of new infrastructure and hardware/software installations.

Requirements:

* Time served trades person or hold an appropriate city and guilds certificate.
* Qualified to current electrical regulations (18th Edition certification) (Desirable.)
* Hold a full enhanced disclosure certificate/or be able to apply for one through HR.
* Minimum National 4 / GCSE level or equivalent in English.
* Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable).

Experience:

* Maintenance and electrical experience, preferably in the IT sector.
* Experience in at least three or more of the following:

* L.V. switching
* HVAC Systems
* UPS Circuitry
* Generators
* BMS Systems
* Fire Preventative Systems.
