Job Description:
Seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Data Engineer to support growing Data/IT division within thebusiness. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering quality structured cabling installations (copper/fibre) and installing EPOS equipment when required.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills andwork to high standards, taking pride in their work. The successful candidate should also be able to diagnose faults and repair data networks, adhere to H&S guidelines and procedures, and complete internal working processes and procedures.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in installing structured cabling to manufacturers standards: Cat5e/Cat6 and Cat6A
* Abilityto read floor plans, building and patching schematics
* Knowledge of fibre optic cabling and installation of cabling containment
* Experience in installing comms cabinets and rack and stack of active hardware (optional)
* Ability to take IT hardwareto site, unbox, install, and configure into specified locations
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills
* Ability to work accuratelyand with good attention to detail
* Ability to adhere to H&S guidelines and procedures
Schedule:
As our projects arefast-paced and typically short in duration, the successful candidate should be prepared to work away from home when required. The work is varied and heavily retail-based, with shift patterns remaining the same but could consist of days, nights, or weekends. Flexibility in terms of hours, days, and location is essential.

Skills and Qualifications:* Full UK Driving License
* Hold all relevant Health & Safety qualifications, plus any other certification requiredto allow for projects to be completed - CSCS/ECS, IPAF, Asbestos Awareness (Ukata accredited) as a minimum
* Attend training and other learning and development programs required by the business
* Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI) or BTEC Level 3Copper and Fibre
Advantageous Skills/Attributes/Qualifications:
* Certified Network Infrastructure Technician (CNIT)
*BTEC Level 4 Technician
* WIFI Experience
* Telecoms/VOIP Experience
