Distribution Maintenance Technician - Milton Keynes - £35,240
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several site locations. They will be the first line of contact for all maintenance issues within their allocated sites and will ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date at alltimes. The main goal is to complete technical repairs and PPMs in an efficient and cost-effective manner while adhering to Health and Safety legislation.
Key Accountabilities:
* Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreedtimescales and ensure accurate completion of all necessary paperwork
* Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and assess job requirements to carry out necessary repairs
* Prioritize maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times
* Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance and conduct emergencylighting tests and repairs
* Follow purchase order process and identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery
* Ensure compliance documentation is completed and up to date at all times
* Advise on-site customer of any repair and maintenance issues likely to affect the smooth running of the site
* Complete surveys and reports as required by management and carry out minor alterations and installations within individual's technical competence
* Attend training courses as necessary to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments
* Be part of a 24/7 call out rota
Financial Responsibility:
* Responsible for logging material spending and purchasing
People Responsibility:
* Currently responsible for supervising AMT on technical works and PPM
* Responsible for building good relationships with colleagues and customers, but has no direct reports
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Minimum GCSE/Standard Grade level education, ideally with NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance
* City and Guilds 2382 17th Edition or 18th edition(new)
* Familiarity with 3 phase electrics and its applications
* Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, such as commercial ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves
* Response to service call requests within agreed response times
* Achievement of PPM schedule within agreed timescales
