Electrical Manager - National - £45,000-£51,000 & £5.7k Car Allowance & 10% Bonus
The National Electrical Manager is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to the Electrical Compliance teams. This role plays a vital role in supporting the electrical teams, fostering customer relationships, and ensuring the maintenance and growth of good working partnerships.
Responsibilities:
* Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to Technicians and field Managers, ensuring their proficiency in electrical services.
* Performance Management: Identify under performance issues, develop action plans for improvement, and drive consistency within the teams.
* Recruitment and Certification: Participate in the recruitment and selection process of Technicians, validating their certifications as required.
* Compliance and Documentation: Audit FM documentation, take action on non-compliance issues, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
* Customer Relations: Represent the company professionally, establish strong working relationships with clients, and understand their needs.* Electrical Testing and Auditing: Oversee the electrical testing program, ensure certification collation, and implement a robust audit process.
* Collaboration and Reporting: Support the Head of Compliance on technical, people, and FM process issues, complete reports and compliance documentation, and address any raised issues promptly.
* Maintenance and Help Desk: Prioritizeand drive remedial works, maintain records of task status, handle Help Desk calls effectively, and escalate issues when necessary.
* Communication and Knowledge Sharing: Attend and hold meetings with line managers, facilitate on-site area meetings for knowledge sharing and best practices, and regularly communicate with customers on FM activities.
* Process Efficiency: Process requests accurately using the designated system (e.g., Mercury) and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Other Duties: Fulfill reasonable management requests as required.
Financial Responsibilities:
* Business Development: Identify and deliveropportunities within the budget to expand services to customers, collaborating with the Customer and designated Manager.
* Capital Projects: Manage capital plans and projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and budget optimization to maximize value and service levels.
People Responsibilities:
* Line Management: Supervise and manage the Electrical Qualifying Supervisors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Education and Certifications: Minimum of GCSE/Standard Grade level education.NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance. City and Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing. City and Guilds 2381 18th Edition.
* FM Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of maintenance services in the FM industry, preferably with experience in a multi-client contracted environment and a background in PPM and compliance.
*Technical Expertise: Familiarity with catering, hospitality, or food production equipment management would be beneficial.
* Leadership Experience: Previous experience effectively leading and managing a team.
* Client Relationship Management: Experiencein developing client relationships at a senior level would be advantageous.
* IT Proficiency: Strong PC literacy, ability toextract, collate, and present performance data, and familiarity with CAFM systems.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Planning and Organization: Strong planning, organizing, prioritization, and project management skills.
* Results-Driven: Takes accountability for own performance and that of the team, with a strong focus on achieving results.
* Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Flexibility and Initiative: Highly flexible and self-starting, able to adapt to challenges and embrace a flexible approach.
