Endoscopy Operations Manager UKI - Southend-On-Sea - £60,000 per annum
The Endoscopy Operations Manager is accountable for delivering maintenance and repair services for a full range of endoscopy products supported by the company repair workshop.
The roleplays an important part in bridging technical capabilities with customer requirements and as such is expected to work closely with the Endoscopy Engineering Manager to target areas to enhance technicians' capability. In addition, this role will operate alongside the Endoscopy Transformation team to identify current and future commercial focus while supporting technical bids and presentations in the field.
Responsible for operations based out of the Southend-On-Sea repair workshop, this role is accountable for endoscopy employees in the workshops and is expected to jointly define working models to deliver customer centric deliverysuch as extended working hours (shift patterns, extended week/weekend models) and will work with the UKI Logistic Manager to identify efficiencies.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
* Leadership and management for Endoscopy operational teams* Implementing capability to support current and new generations of endoscopy equipment
* Delivery of efficient turnaround of repairs through extended working hours/weeks in conjunction with HR team
* Managing escalations such as KPI failure, repeatrepairs or customer complaints, including site visits where required
* Working with logistics to leverage companywide cost-effective delivery and collection services for extended working
* Work with commercial organisation to define support levels andcoverage available for products in tenders/bids
* Responsible for building resourcing models to support current and future business to balance cost with effective service delivery
* Responsible for implementing newly awarded contracts, identifying gapsand presenting plans to limit exposure.
* Available to support technical colleagues in the event of escalated or complex repairs
* Available to support commercial organisation in bid defence or technical discussions as required
Skills/Qualifications:
* Degree qualification or equivalent (or working towards)
* 10 years' experience in endoscope repairs and associated products
* Commercial acumen in endoscopy or related environment
* An understanding of Risk Management generally, and the impact on medical device support
* Fundamental management skills, concise communication, and the ability to liaise effectively with scientific and medical colleagues
* Able to problem solve under pressure, whilst minimising risk to patients, the Trust or company
* A keen interest in efficiency and innovative techniques to develop more effective working practices
* Willing to work across modalities/OEM's
* At least 10 year's experience in healthcare environment
* 10 years' experience managing engineers or technicians
