A rare opportunity to join an excellent family feel business with, large company backing as a mechanical Technician has arisen in the Northampton area.This is a genuinely nice business to work for with a great history of long employee retention rates. The Mechanical Technician Role:- Working within the Calibration department, your role will include the hands on Calibration and repair of Electro-mechanical devices, including but not limited to high accuracy measuring devices.
- Adjust Mechanical gauges to fixed, known standards within the calibration workshop.
- Prioritising the workflow through the Calibration area to ensure a logical work order.
- Fault find and repair Electronic / Mechanical components to ensure they can be quickly assigned back to their user.
- Liaise with stores with regards to spare part availability.
The Mechanical Technician Candidate: - Mechanical and Electronics appreciation / Understanding is a must - Ideally HNC / HND level- Confident user of hand tools
- Strong problem solving ability
- Self-motivated
- Able to Priortise and Coordinatetheir own work.
The hours:
Monday to Thursday 8-5pm and Friday 8-1.Salary £27,000 - £32,000
25 days holiday + Bank holsHealthcare
