We are a dynamic and innovative team specialising in Engineering for our Power Systems Business Segment and are passionate about delivering cutting-edge solutions to meet the power needs of various industries, including marine, industrial, standby, and prime power applications.
We are currently seeking an experiencedEngineering Technician to join our team in Stamford. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical rotating machinesor relevant experience in electrical engineering. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in conducting testing of products ranging from 20kVA to 5800kVA at voltages between 380V and 15kV.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage electrical machine witness testing in compliance with marine society requirements, such as Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Bureau Veritas (BV), Lloyds Registrar (LRS), and American Bureau Shipping (ABS).
* Lead and manage customer witness testing on electrical machines, adhering to specific test requirements and providing real-time analysis and results. This testing primarily takes place atour Stamford site.
* Lead and manage electrical machine testing for engineering prototype developments, following detailed test requirements and standards, and effectively communicate and report detailed test results.
* Take responsibility for the upfit and de-fit of test cells and machines to facilitate test cell utilisation, requiring hands-on mechanical and electrical skills.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
* A HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent is advantageous.
* Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and improvise under pressure.
* Strong communicationskills.
* Previous electrical/mechanical testing background is essential, with experience in any sector considered.
Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm
