THE ROLE:
The successful candidates will become an important member of the production team. You will "set" manufacturing machines in readiness to produce a varied range of styles of metal packaging. Once the line is ready to produce you will operate the system ensuring timely and accurate production against orders coming through. It will be your responsibility to ensure the machinery is mechanically capable of completing orders by carrying out general servicing and first-line maintenance in the event of an equipment break-down
THE CANDIDATE:
Candidates must have skills which can be adaptable to the nature of the role. This would include hands-on experience (mechanical) working with machinery and a mechanical/technical mindset. Machinery duties will including tool changes, adjustments to ensure quality and maintenance work. Training and time to adapt can be offered but candidates will need to have confidence on their skills and knowledge.
You must have a mechanical aptitude. Qualifications, whilst beneficial aren'tnecessary but experience in stripping down, fault-finding and rebuilding mechanical components is required. This may have been gained in a number of ways such as: hobbies around maintaining vehicles, general mechanic assembly roles or previous operation and maintenance in a production environment.
This is a day shift role (08.00 5.00 / Early Friday Finish) and offers employmentwith a unique and traditional company. Progression to supervisor level may be available for the right candidate.
BENEFITS:Salary circa £25,000 - £27,000 p.a
