Role Overview:
As a Fire & Emergency Lighting Systems Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting solutions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' premisescomply with safety standards and regulations while maintaining optimal performance of their fire and emergency systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, test, and maintain fire alarm and emergency lighting systems in various commercial and residential properties.
* Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine system requirements and specifications.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in existing fire and emergency lighting systems.
* Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
* Maintain accurate recordsof service visits, inspections, and system performance.
* Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-datewith industry advancements.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in fire alarm and emergency lighting systems, with a strong electrical bias.
* Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ) and experience in electrical installations.
* Knowledge of current fire safety regulations and standards.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within Leeds, Bradford, York Way region.
