Role Overview:
As a Fire & Security Engineer,you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire alarm systems and security systems, including intruder alarms and CCTV. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' properties comply with safety and security standards while maintaining optimal performance of their systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, test, and maintain fire alarm and security systems in various commercial and residential properties.
* Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine system requirements and specifications.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in existing fire and security systems.
* Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of service visits, inspections, and system performance.
* Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience infire alarm and security systems, with a strong bias towards security solutions.
* Relevant electrical or security qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ) and experience in security system installations.
* Knowledge of current fire safety and security regulations and standards.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the Nottingham, Derby, Loughborough, and Mansfield regions.
