We are on the lookout for an exceptional Grinding Technician to join our dynamic team. We specialise in manufacturing within the Components Business Segment and call Huddersfield our home base. As a Grinding Technician,your role will be instrumental in shaping our success. Here's how you'll make a difference:
Precision Manufacturing: You'll craft intricate components directly from engineering drawings, showcasing your proactive problem-solving skills while employing avariety of manufacturing methods and equipment.
Technical Prowess: Your ability to interpret and understand complex engineering drawings and models will be key in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards.
Continuous Improvement: Dive into improvement initiatives within your work area to elevate operational performance and drive excellence.
Quality Champion: Take ownership of maintaining quality to engineering standards, and inspire a culture of quality throughout the team.
ProcessOptimisation: Create and refine documented procedures while championing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Innovation Driver: Be at the forefront of driving continuous improvement in manufacturing methodologies to keep us on the cutting edge.
Collaborative Spirit: Maintain open lines of communication with fellow department members to ensure seamless work-flow and meet customer requirements.
The successful Grinding Technician Candidate:
Apprenticeship Training: Preferred, ideally with a background in a Toolroom environment.
Precision Grinding Expertise: Essential experience in both CNC and manual precision grinding.
Attention to Detail: Working with micron tolerances is a must to meet our high standards.
Manufacturing Background: A solid foundation in manufacturing processes is vital for success.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency inusing relevant computer applications.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Thursday from 7 am to 3 pm,and Friday from 7 am to 12 pm
Salary: Up to £40,000, dependent on your skills and experience.
