Concept are recruiting for an IT Maintenance Engineer in Guilford and surrounding areas
The successful engineer will be responsible ensuring the efficient operation, reliability, and longevity of smart locker systems used for engineering and logistics purposes. The role involves diagnosing basic technical issue and performing routine maintenance
Key Responsibilities
* Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure lockers remain fully operational, such as battery pack swaps
* Troubleshoot and repair basic hardware issues, including mechanical components, electronic systems, and connectivity problems. This includes replacement of parts such as smart locks, mechanical locks, drilling metal, riveting, levelling of misaligned lockers, etc
What are the rates?
* The successful candidates will be paid up to £160 per day on outside IR35 contracts
* Any overtime (more than 9 hours a day inclusive of travel) is paid at £16 per hour
* Mileage claimable after 100 miles per day at 30ppm, parking bridge and tolls etc claimable back weekly on expenses
* Weekend working is available, Saturdays x 1.25, Sundays x 1.5
* Potential of further contract work in the future, permanent position may be offered to the right candidate
What are we looking for?
* Experienced IT field engineers with maintenance experience of Epos / IT equipment
* Engineers must have their own reliable vehicle with business insurance and valid MOT - proof must be provided
* Good competency of using battery powered drills and other hand tools, such as rivet guns.
* Engineers must have an Android phone for this project due to our clients application that is needed for the project
Working Hours
* Monthly rolling contract, possible transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.
* Shifts - Monday to Friday, day work - standard day 8am - 5pm including travel time however flexibility will be required
* Sites Per Day - no restriction of number of sites per day
* Consistency of work - 5 days per week Monday - Friday. Weekend working is available
This role has been assessed and deemed an outside IR35 role
