THE COMPANY
This well respected locally owned business provide electrical services to a wide range of clientèle. They manage contracts in commercial /production environments, provide domestic wiring services, and service the agricultural sector too. The company pride themselves onproviding excellent customer service and high-quality electrical work.
Due to continued growth and market demand they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Technician with Electrical bias to join their team.
THE ROLE
This is a permanent full time position working 40 hours a week Monday - Friday. Occasional weekend work and overtime may be required and is paid at time and a half.
The workload is very varied and the jobs allocated to you will match your previous experience and skill set as well as extending your knowledge and scope of work over time.
Duties can include:
Commercial
* Working on site at various commercial, manufacturing and production facilities providing cabling and installation of machinery etcDomestic
* First and second fix of houses
* General maintenance
* Faults
Agricultural
* All electrical installations for new sheds, milking parlours etc
* Faults
* Upgrading from old electrical to more energy efficient alternativesDuring the working week you will have use of a work van and when practical be able to take this home. You will then work relatively independently visiting your allocated clients before returning your vehicle ahead of the weekend.
General duties will also include:
* Planning and managing allocated jobs
* Ordering required materials
* Client liaison
Requirements
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications, experience and qualities:
* 18th Edition Qualification BS7671:2018
* NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Diploma or equivalent
* AM2 National Electrotechnical Training -preferred
* Inspection and Testing 2391or 2395 -preferred
* Experienced in Fault finding
* Experience in Commercial properties* Full UK driving licence -Essential
* Previous experienceworking independently but also be able to work as part of a team
*Solid experience in and managing multiple jobs
* Excellent customer liaison skills
* Be a self-motivated, ambitious individual who thrives on a challenge and the varied nature of the job
* Resourceful and keen to achieve
* Trustworthy and reliable* Thorough and accurate and take pride in your work
* Keen to learn and develop new skills
