Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer/Handyman
Location: London (Primarily within the M25 area) - Some UK Travel may be required
Salary: £35,000 per annum
We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer/Handyman to join our clients dynamic team in London. Working primarily within the M25 area, with occasional travel across the UK, you will perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks for commercial and retail properties.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct general maintenance tasks, including door adjustments, lock replacements, and closer installations.
* Perform PAT Testing and Emergency Lighting Testing.
* Handle plumbing repairs such as sinks, mixer valves, pipework, and occasional repair/replacement of sanitary ware.
* Complete electrical tasks, including changing lamps, replacing failed light fittings, and installing replacement electric water heaters.
* Carry out routine inspections to identify and address issues or potential problems.
* Build and maintainan adequate stock of spare parts.
* Ensure work areas are kept clean and organised.
* Upload job reports and photographs toJob Logic after task completion.
* Perform any additional duties as directed by the Facilities Manager.
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role, preferably retail-focused.
* Current, clean UK driving license.* Proven general maintenance skills, including proficiency with power tools.
* Strong problem-solving skills to address unexpected repairs or challenges.
* High attention to detail to ensure quality and adherence to health and safety processes.
* Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
* Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks.* Excellent interpersonal skills to understand client needs and build lasting relationships.
Qualifications:
* Relevant trade qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
Additional Requirements:
* Willingness to travel to sites acrossthe UK, with occasional overnight stays.
