An excellent employer within the Huddersfield area is seeking a Product Engineers to join theirteam on a contract basis for a Six-month Period with likely extension.
You will be assisting with an exceptional workload and will be a central point of coordination and decision making between product line engineers, customer teams, systems engineers, purchasing, suppliers and manufacturing.
The Product Engineer Role:
You will Investigate product problems, understand failure mechanisms and recommend appropriate actions.
You will own problem resolution and document results with guidance from more experienced team members.
Working in business processes of Product Preceding Technology (PPT), Value
Package Introduction (VPI) or Current Product Support (CPS) and executing technical processes such as Engineering Standard Work (ESW), iDFMEA, Failure Incident Review Group (FIRG) while using tools such as 7-step problem solving, design review checklist and other specialized tools required to support the processes and enable high quality decision making.
You will obtain input from stakeholders such as technical managers, project leaders, other product and manufacturing engineers and supplier partners to deliver information and recommendations that lead to quality product decisions.
Applies academic knowledge and existing experienceto act and make decisions that progress projects forward without sacrificing project quality expectations.
To be successful within this Product Engineer role you will need:
* College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineeringor other relevant technical disciplines required.
* Previous experience working within mechanical Engineering, ideally rotating machinery, or something complex within the Automotive sector.
* You should be an efficient communicator, able to follow instructions and work independently.
* Experience within the Automotive industry and the Product development tools and techniquesutilised through a complete life-cycle.
Umbrella Gross rate - £44.30
PAYE - £33.20/hr
This role is assessedas within IR35 and as such you must be paid PAYE or Umbrella PAYE. Rates shown are PAYE rate to gross umbrella rate.
