Job Opportunity: Project Commissioning Engineer

Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and functionality of fire alarm systems? We are seeking a skilled Project Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key playerin the installation and commissioning process, you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of quality and customerservice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Commission fire detection systems and associated equipment in compliance with current regulations.
* Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure project delivery aligns with best practices and cost-effective solutions.
* Provide on-the-job training for apprentices and support other engineers in meeting competency standards.
* Communicate effectively with customers to understand system status and address any defects affecting functionality.
* Offer technicalsupport and guidance to fellow engineers.
* Collaborate with administrators to ensure timely commitments and diary management.
* Review programs of work, RAMs, cause & effects matrix, and client specifications.
* Ensure completion of all paperwork in accordance with company requirements.
* Plan and execute minor additions to existing installations as instructed by theLine Manager.
* Manage and secure personal equipment stock efficiently.
Key Competencies:
Skills:
* Commission firedetection and alarm systems in line with manufacturers' recommendations.
* Ensure as-installed drawings match the finished project.
* Test every aspect of the installed system in accordance with specifications.
* Identify and terminate various typesof cables correctly.
* Develop and diagnose Cause and Effect software for control equipment.
* Operate required test equipment.
* Demonstrate a logical approach to system fault diagnosis.
* Communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
* Proficient in the use of manufacturers' software programs and Windows-based computer usage.
Technical Knowledge:
* Sound knowledge of control and field equipment.
* Understanding of basic building service systems.
* Comprehensive understanding offire alarm problems and solutions.
* Completed numerous units of FIA training.
* Manufacturer trained for relevant equipment.
* Familiarity with conventional fire alarm systems.
* Ideally, a qualified electrician or equivalent.
Standards:
*Conversant with relevant clauses within BS 5839 P1 2017 & Building Regulations.
* Operate within the framework of ISO 9001 and LPS1014.
