Purpose of the role:
As the Safety, Facilities, Environmental & Sustainability Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for all safety and environmental matters within the organization.Your role will involve overseeing practical and compliance aspects across various disciplines, including manufacturing, construction projects, sustainability reporting, and facilities management at the Wombourne site. Seeking a qualified professional who can manage business risks, navigate through safety and environmental challenges, and ensure compliance with industry standards.Key responsibilities:
* Manage safety operating systems and ensure compliance through effective audits across the business.
* Oversee environmental operating systems and maintain audit compliance throughout the organization.
* Conduct audits anduphold construction site standards according to contractual obligations during installations.
* Lead the in-house facilities team at our Wombourne Headquarters, ensuring a compliant and safe working environment.
* Develop a company-wide culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness through education and training.
* Take ownership of the respective ISO accreditationsand guide the business through certification and recertification processes.
* Respond promptly to address any safety, environmental, or facilities-related issues, including after-hours availability.
Skills / Experience:
* Previous experience in managing safety within a manufacturing environment.
* Construction safety management expertise, including familiarity with NHS Tier 1 contractor compliance expectations, is essential.
* Possess an appropriate professional safety qualification, with Chartered status being advantageous (e.g., Level 6 IOSH).
* Thorough working knowledge of ISO standards relating to safety and environmental audits.
* Awareness of facilities management and budget control.
* Proficient in KPI reporting.
* Strong skillsin internal and external stakeholder management.
