Senior Biomedical Engineer - PRUH (Orpington) - £33k-£38.5k & £2,500 LW
Purpose of the role
Provision of daily on-site repair, preventative maintenance and asset management of medical devices within specified hospital locations. To work with and support the site / team leader in achieving contract KPI's. Complete all
associated administrative work in completing repairs and preventative maintenance as outlined in procedures. Support customers when ever needed to ensure minimal disruption to the operation of the hospital. Build long termrelationships with customers, subcontractors and staff to ensure responsiveness and support.
Responsibilities
* Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer's guidelines
* Complete repairs as required onmedical equipment as per manufacture's guidelines
* Complete associated admin needed to close repairs and PM's as outlined inthe Standard Operating Procedure
* Travel to various sites as required to perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance
* Maintain safe working practices with the hospital environment
* Exceed contact KPI's to ensure customer satisfaction
* AssistJunior Biomed Engineer whenever required
* Maintain spare part stock wherever necessary
* Directly support the Site/Team Leader as needed
Additional duties:-
* Scheduling and completing workload for assigned customers within area
* Maintaining service documentation in line with business requirements
* Responsible for escalating and defining necessary resources to maintain equipment
* Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for spare part and contract quotations
* Ensure data integrity within management systems
* Responsible for delivering customer satisfaction
* Deal with OEM's service staff and management when required
* Maintain tools and test equipment in line with Standards
* Attend customer meetings when required
* Seek opportunities to grow business
* Review ways to improve productivity and reduce operating expenditure
* Any other reasonable request orproject request.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
Certified OEM trainings
Qualification in Engineering, electronics or medical technologies such as biomedical engineering, desirably at Bachelors level
3 - 5 Years in biomedical setting. Patientmonitoring, diathermy's (electro surgery units), Theatre tables, Defibrillator's, Infusion & volumetric devices, Anaesthesiaequipment, Ventilation devices. equipment
Familiarity with appropriate national and local regulatory standards
Has worked inclinical areas and involving patient communication
Competent with a broad range of medical devices
A minimum of five years' Biomedical experience
