My client is a privately owned business, operating in the medical device sector, they offer a comprehensive service specialising in maintaining, calibrating and repairing medical equipment.
Role Profile
The candidate will be trained to perform servicing and repairs on a range of medical equipment, which may be carried out either at the workshop, orin the field if required.
Main Accountabilities
* Assess, service and repair as required medical equipment in line with customer procedures.
* To ensure that key performance indicators are met for customers in this area, including repair turnaround times, reliability, PM completion.
* Complete all service paperwork and documentation to the agreed standard.
* Responsible for maintaining work area and test equipment in a safe, compliant and tidy condition.
* Maintain compliance to all company standards and adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to Health & Safety and Quality Management.
Any other activity as mutually agreed between the Service Engineer and Service Delivery Manager within training scope.
Candidate Qualities* Qualified to HNC or equivalent in Engineering.
* Medical Device servicing, repair and maintenance experience desirable.* A competent "hands on" service engineer with a "can do" attitude and the ability to problem solve effectively and efficiently. Ability to work unsupervised and using their own initiative.
* Flexible and self-motivated with the ability maintain and achieve service targets and deadlines.
* A professional team player who is self-motivated and possesses excellent communication skills.
* Knowledge of ISO9001or ISO13485 quality systems and procedures
Salary
£25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
