Technical Support Engineer - Hemel Hempstead - £27,000

Our client commission and maintain equipment from the world's market leader in access solutions. They are seeking dynamic and diligent individuals who can combine technical flair with excellent customer service skills to work as a Technical Service Engineer.As a Technical Service Engineer, you will be providing remote technical support solutions for our vehicle and people accesscustomers. Your commitment is to help our customers get up & running as quickly as possible. You will use fault-finding andproblem-solving processes to remotely restore issues or provide hardware and software guidance to our customer teams to get a first-time fix. You will also provide support to our field service and project teams through the dedicated support booking system.Be part of our exciting access technology evolution as we move into the age of digital services and cloud-based solutions.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager main duties will be;

* 1st line & 2nd line Customer Support
* Catagorise and Prioritise incidents based on urgenct and severity
* Diagnose & troubleshoot technical issues, including account set upand netowrk configuration
* Support the customer and engineering base with remote hardware installations and software support* Pre-configure and test hardware for field service calls

What you will need;

Technical support/Service desk technician(1st line or 2nd line, or field based) 2 years minimum. Or any of the following:

* (Level 2 and above) in IT and Computing,Telecommunications, Networking or Computer Science.
* Infrastructure Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship
* CCENT/CCNA
* ITILV4 (foundation)
* COMPTIA +
* EV Charging.
* Experience with SKIDATA, Circontrol, Citysync or Commend equipment.
* Internal and External Fibre Optic experience.
* IT hardware and software maintenance.
* Technical Support or Technical Engineers* TCP/IP Networks
* Access Control
* ANPR installation and maintenance.
* Knowledge or interest in IT Hardware maintenance and software installation, Server 2016, VM and SQL.
* The ability to install/update hardware, software and windows operating systems
* Experience with or ability to develop knowledge on the following topics: Electro -Mechanical servicing, Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), access control.
* Knowledge of network infrastructure and TCP/IP
* Some travel to customer sites when required
* Hold a valid UK driving licence

Hours of work

* 8 hour working day
* Currently (subject to change) -08.30 to 16.30 (including half an hour lunch break)
* Overtime as required
* Once you have achieved the required skills, you will take part in an OOH callout rota.
