Role : Technical Manager - Parking / Ticket Management
Location : Swindon - South West

My clients who are specialists in innovative cloud-based parking management solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Support Manager with extremely strong people management and problem solving skills . The role will work in close co-ordination with Technology Development functions and 3rd party integrators as well as the UK Service Support team.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
1 To perform line manager duties for Technical Support Team and act as point of escalation.
2 To actas systems architecture lead for customers and provide input to Sales / Project team to verify solution design.
3 To define technical solutions to address specific customer / business needs.
4 To keep UK team informed on technology advancement, new product availability and planned developments.
5 To work with 3rd parties to scope and implement integrations with products and solutions.
6 To provide hands on technical support and assistance to resolve customer / system issues - includes leading complex technical problem complex solving activities.
7 To help develop IT best practice and service delivery.
8 To manage local infrastructure and work with 3rd party suppliers to ensure quality of service.
9 To ensure company compliance with IT security10 To support and manage the implementation and maintenance of internal systems.
11 To manage resources to ensure effectiveprioritisation, planning and allocation of work within the Technical team.
12 To ensure, in conjunction with Group colleagues,that our solutions are fully compliant with UK standards"
13 To assist Operations Director to deliver improvements to business as defined by Senior Management Team
14 To support the Service Desk to ensure a high level of technical support is providedto on site engineers in a timely manner
15 To be part of On-call technical support rota and rota for 24/7 support for key customer
Person Specification
* Degree level education or equivalent experience in a relevant technical discipline
* Demonstrable experience and expertise in a related field of technology
* Experience of managing complex technical programmes
* Experience of technical product management
* Experience of managing technical / operational teams
* Experience of working withelectronic devices / components/
* Experience of GDPR / information security
* Experience of deploying IP networks
* Familiarity with the application of Linux/Unix
* Experience of deployment of SQL/Postgres data base
