UK Field Service Manager - £55k-£60k & £6k Car Allowance - Nationwide
Purpose of the role:
*To manage a team of regional team leads & Modality leaders across the UK, providing daily on-site repair, preventative maintenance, and asset management of medical devices within specified hospital locations. To work with and support the UK Operation'sManager in achieving contract KPIs.
* To work within the Quality Assurance and Environmental, Health & Safety policies.* To provide input to setting annual operating budgets for assigned contracts and meeting those budgets using system tools to regularly monitor budget amounts versus actual amounts spent.
* Manage the delivery of services according to contractual obligations at specified sites.
* Manage all revenue generating activities for assigned contracts, including contract and billable revenues.
* To build long term relationships with the customer, subcontractors and staff to ensure responsiveness and support to customers.
* Identify, develop and promote business on specified sites.
* Implement a system to manage and control all components of service delivery
* Act as a deputy to the Biomed OM in his absence.
Key Accountabilities:
* Demonstrate initiative, a high-performance work ethic, time management proficiency and the ability to work under pressure, managing multiple outputs.
* Act in a professional manner at all times, including manner of speech, writing, dress and personal grooming.
* Lead,coach and train staff with an emphasis on developing an understanding of the alignment of local objectives, key initiative andcompany medium and long-term strategy.
* Determine staffing requirements and work closely with HR to fulfil the requirements.Present business cases for any out of budget needs.
* To supervise the workload of the team, allocating team members to optimize productivity
* To set goals and objectives for subordinates and provide annual assessments and feedback
* To ensure statistical information is produced, collated, and analysed on a regular basis to assist in evaluating the performance of the team* To comply with the Quality Assurance and Environmental, Health & Safety policies, and work to maintain a high standard ofcustomer service and protect your health and safety and that of your colleagues, our customers, and members of the public.
* To promptly raise any concerns regarding potential violations of the policies
* To actively seek opportunities to grow business* To review ways to improve productivity and reduce operating expenditure
* To coordinate and attend regular customer meetings
* To directly support the UK Operations Manager as needed
* Responsible for escalating and defining necessary resourcesto maintain equipment
* Responsible for delivering customer satisfaction
Skills/Experience:
* Qualification in Engineering, electronics or medical technologies such as biomedical engineering.
* Managerial experience
* Minimum 12 years Biomedical experience
* Experience with medical device management theory and policies
* Customer focused, confident meeting senior customer management
* Ability to lead a strong team
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Familiar with a broadrange of biomedical equipment
* PC literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications
* Ability to meet tight deadlines for maintenance and other projects.
Package:
Basic salary of between £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
£6K Car Allowance
This is a national role so frequent UK travel will be required. All successful applicants will be required to undergo andenhanced DBS Check.
