* Business Improvement Process Manager
* Up to £60,000 per annum
* 6 month contract
* 2 days a week on-site in Leatherhead and the rest working remotely
Working for a global FMCG company we are looking for an experienced Business Improvement Process Manager tocome on board for a 6 month contract to support the business in a Transformation Program combining new technologies with process and organisational changes to deliver a simplified end-to-end transactional process covering business planning and the complete order to cash cycle (iOps project).
The purpose of this role is to work closely with the operational team to drive simplification by implementing standardised ways of working using the new technology, in the new organisational design.
This involves reinforcing the objectives of the design, clarifying new responsibilities and the cause and effect of an individual's role in the E2E process and how to use the new technology and data analytics to deliver against SLAs and KPIs.
You will be working alongside the users on a daily basis to coach them, capture pain points, identify the root causes and implement changes to address them.
This is a hands-on role where you will gain a deep understanding of the processes in Customer Operations and provides a development opportunity for anyone who aspires to a leadership or management role in Business Planning, Supply Chain, Finance or Commercial operations.
Responsibilities
* Gain a detailed understanding of the processes for business planning and setting up customer promotions, pricing and rebates.
* Coach users to adhere to the current version of the processes
*Understand issues and challenges and problem solve with users to eliminate them.
* Where an issue affects more than one customer or business unit team, develop and document best practice, create training materials and implement the change through engagement and training with all teams.
* Challenge proposals to make sure that every change proposed makes our processes easier andmore efficient for our customers and colleagues and the benefit justifies the cost/effort.
* Where there are tech changes, work within a project team on system testing and implementation, focusing on how the systems will support users to deliver best inclass customer experience and identifying any defects vs. the specified design.
* Analyse data to identify incompatibilitiesbetween the current and future tools and/or ways of working and work with the relevant teams to re-align the data ahead of go live.
* Work with 3rd parties to plan and implement process changes or technical cutovers including quality control
* Support our transition to a partnership model with an outsourced service provider, collaboratively problem solving and holding them to account for SLAs deliveries
Skills and Experience
* A passion for continuous improvement and intolerance of duplicationand rework
* Experience of process and/or technology change as either a user or a project leader.
* Empathetic and supportive style to help users adopt and embed change.
* Good communication skills, adapting style and content for technical and non-technical audiences.
* Willingness to do operational tasks during transitions.
* Understand process improvement methodology and use of process controls through change.
* Ability to manipulate and analyse large volumes of numerical data accurately.* Knowledge of systems testing and implementation
* Working in partnership with 3rd party service providers
* Working with/lead a team of functional SMEs who are not direct reports.
* Knowledge of trade promotions/pricing/rebate/payment/invoicing/claims modules of SAP beneficial, but not essential.
* Ability to work on a range of project deliverables simultaneously andflexibility to change workplan if new higher priorities are identified and required to meet a project go-live timing
Deliverables
* On time and accurate set-up of promotions and pricing to improve volume forecasting bias and accuracy, perfect invoices, elimination of price claims and on time rebate claims payment
* Deliver on lead-indicators to achieve business service leveland working capital targets.
* Implement changes against project milestones on time, accurately and completely.
* Create workstream updates for stakeholders.
* Regular updates to the Customer Operations Leadership team including Planning and Customer Experience Directors.
* Identify and mitigate risks
* Positive feedback from users that technology and process improvement is helping them do their job efficiently and effectively.
Reporting
* UKI integrated operations program lead
Team* Will work as part of an agile project team with the support of SMEs from different functions
* Pricing, rebates, orpayments modules would be advantageous. If they do not have this we are looking for people comfortable with ERP systems.
* Notessential to come from FMCG backgrounds.
* Any process improvement experience. Working day to day on a change project on an ERP system/pricing or payment system. A system where you interact with the customer.
Practical experience of the system is needed as they will need to work on the system themselves.
