We're looking for a Head of Project Management, with a track record of successful project execution. This role will be responsible for owning the Jumar delivery governance capabilities, including Project Management and Agile, for all external customer engagements and internal projects. The successful candidate will have previous experience leading diverse teams of project management professionals within a professional services or consulting organisation. This role can be completed in a hybrid way attending our Jumar offices in Solihull 2/3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:Delivery Governance and Project Management:
* Develop and improve the maturity of Delivery Governance, including execution, MI, and data across all projects and services delivered to customers.
* Lead and oversee all projects from initiation to completion, ensuring our obligations are met and the expect value delivered to our clients
* Ensure team utilisation and deliverytargets are met.
* Own the project delivery quality control processes to ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards and are in line with the ISO 9001 & 27001 quality standards.
* Establish and monitor KPIs to measure project performance and team productivity.
* Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
Resource andTeam Management:
* Manage and allocate project governance resources effectively, optimising team performance and project outcomes.
* Create and maintain a resourcing strategy to meet sales pipeline demand and respond to rapid growth.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Ensure all staff and contractors are aware of quality policies, their responsibilities regarding quality, and how to seek advice on quality matters.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
* Advocate for Delivery Governance and support all pre-sales activities as required.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
* Workclosely with various departments (sales, marketing, and other practices to ensure seamless delivery.
* Instil best-of-breed behaviours, including listening, innovating, leading, challenging, and owning outcomes.
Reporting and Continuous Improvement:* Deliver weekly and monthly MI reporting to demonstrate the performance of the Delivery Governance function financially andagainst planned delivery timelines and targets.
* Drive continuous improvement within Delivery Governance processes and ensurePractices operate within the ISO 9001 quality standard.
* Act as a Senior Manager for Jumar Technology Delivery escalations.Skills and Experience:
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborativework environment.
* Strong delivery governance background; highly experienced in both Agile and Waterfall delivery.
* Financial acumen with an understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial management related to project delivery.
* Demonstrable account management experience.
* Strong understanding and experience in the SDLC.
* Experience in digital transformation.* Significant experience working with organisations in the financial services, public sector, professional services, and technology industries.
* Excellent senior (CxO level) stakeholder management skills.
* PMP, Prince2, or similar project management certifications are desirable
* Presales and business development experience is desirable
