Summary of Responsibilities
We are seeking a Legal Associate to join the Legal Team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Senior Legal Associate ÂCore and Corporate Business, this role will be based in the London office. (approx 2 days in the office with 3 days from home) and this is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, dynamic in-house Legal Team.
Responsibilities will include:
· Drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts including: Member Agreements,
Reinsurance Agreements, Retrocession Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements,Letters of Intent, and Global Accounting Agreements (such as pooling contracts).
· Providing legal regulatory advice to key stakeholders within the business involving: data protection, Companies House, and other corporate governance matters.
· Counselling business units on day-to-day legal issues and areas of risk.
· Providing general legal support.
Required Competencies· Solicitor admitted to practice in England and Wales.
· Excellent legal drafting skills.
· Highly motivated, team player.
· Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work on assignments that are complex in nature,applying legal knowledge where
considerable judgement and initiative are required in resolving problems, making recommendations,
and preparing deliverables.
· Commercial awareness.
