Description:
Your role will be to devise and design solutions for my clients large and small change requirements and to guide and govern the technical direction of the team with the view to continuously improving quality and efficiency. You will provide technical guidance to our internal teams as we work together building the digital audit to meet the challenges of the2020s and beyond.
* Workflow & information management - setting up processes and technology tools to provide greater control over audit workflows in a more efficient manner;
* Enhancing the application development capabilities of the Audit Innovation team through data quality assessment, data management and data governance practices;
* Supporting your pursuit of building a fulfilling career, reaching your full potential, and feeling valued in an environment that supports diversity and inclusion;
* Building work with internal stakeholders to build new and develop existing systems' architecture; and
* Playing an important role in the delivery of Grant Thornton's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide technical and design leadership to a highly skilled and motivated expert technical team.
* To work with senior management in the audit group and assisting the group as it makes critical decisions on technical direction.
* To design solutions that make use of the newest technologies and industry best practices.
* Work as part of the Audit Innovation Team to develop the strategic direction of IT architecture and the build-out of citizen-facing digital services using modern DevOps approaches.
* Identify opportunities to add value to our clients' audit engagements.
* Working with business analysts and end-users to elicit requirements & assist in developing design specifications for short-, medium- and long-term future state architectures.
* Evaluating and recommending external products and services that may meet the customer's requirements.
* Identifying technology trends and deriving relevant ITproposals, including migration strategies.
* Engaging with the software development lifecycle, providing design and technicalcoaching to project business analysts, solutions architects, development teams, test management, and project managers.Qualifications:
* Third Level Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or other related fields
* Comprehensiveunderstanding of, and experience in, the Microsoft Technology Stack(e.g. SQL Server, Power Automate, PowerApps, SharePoint)
*Database experience (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
* Development in any of Python, Java or .Net
* Experience with Agile development/Devops frameworks an advantage
* Experience with Automation Anywhere, Alteryx or PowerBI an advantage
Skills and Attributes:
* Self-starter with ability to use initiative and to prioritise with excellent time management skills;
* Abilityto build trusted relationships with clients and the team;
* Extensive experience in the development of technology solutions* Extensive experience in workflow and process improvement
* Ability to communicate effectively to retrieve relevant information from audit teams and third parties
* Ability to tailor insights and present clearly to Technical and Non-Technical audiences
* Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced working environment
